Sydney's response to the Sustainable Sydney 2030 project has been wonderful .

More than 130,000 people visited Customs House alone, where the 2030 vision was on exhibition for 6 weeks.  18,000 visited the official 2030 web site and over 200 took the time to post a comment to the team reviewing the draft vision.

Many thousands more people were reached and had their say through events such as City Talks and Primo Italiano, and the City held forums and briefings with residents, community leaders, business people and more.  Many individuals and organisations have provided formal submissions to the City, providing comment and feedback on the draft vision.


Through exhibition feedback, comments and submissions the City has received many positive responses, some sceptical but most supportive of the courage and vision shown by the City to address the challenges faced in the near future.

This information was used to finalise the vision, which was adopted by the City of Sydney Council in June 2008.

We are now beginning the implementation of the vision for a green, global and connected City.
