Events

The Year of the Rat was celebrated with a program of 51 events, from the 2008 Chinese New Year Parade, Chinese New Year Markets @ Belmore Park and China Business Summit to events covering Food, Film, Performance, Visual Arts, Culture and Heritage.

Some specific highlights during the Festival included China by William Yang at Griffin Theatre, the aromatic Chinese High Tea Appreciation at Zensation Teahouse, the unforgettable Tsai Chin’s concert at Star City, Happy Tour in Australia Pop Concert, and of course the temple and history tours which took visitors on a journey through Sydney’s Chinese culture and heritage.
