Shaanxi in Sydney

China’s Shaanxi Province is coming to help Sydney celebrate the Year of the Rat with traditional performers and exciting displays showcasing the rich history of the area.

Following the Parade on 10 February, come to Tumbalong Park to see Shaanxi perform. Ansai Waist Drummers, acrobats, traditional musicians, percussionists and more will take to the stage at 12:30pm. This is a rare opportunity to see some of the best performers from China, hailing from an area famed for its rich artistic traditions. Bring the family and come and enjoy what is sure to be a highlight of this year’s Festival.
