Hilda Booler Kindergarten is a licensed pre-school for children aged 3 to 5 years of age.
Services
The kindergarten provides an extended hours pre-school service. There is a strong focus on quality interactions and providing an educational program to assist children in developing appropriately to be ready for school. A pre-school program is offered with the option for families to access an extended hours care program in the afternoon. Children are required to bring a packed lunch and a piece of fruit for morning tea.
The centre also operates a holiday program from the premises in conjunction with Broughton Street Kindergarten.
Places
The centre offers 40 places for the general community. From 2007 priority of access will be given to City residents and workers.
To apply for a placement at the centre, you will need to download and return an Hilda Booler Kindergarten Waiting List Application Form.
Operating Hours
The service operates during the school terms and a holiday program is offered for April, July and Sept/Oct school holidays.
- The centre is open Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 4.30pm
- the pre-school program operates Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 3pm
- the extended hours program operates Monday to Friday from 3pm to 4.30pm.
Hilda Booler Kindergarten is closed on public holidays and for approximately three weeks between Christmas and the end of January each year.
Fees
- Pre-school program $31.00/day
- extended hours program $7.50/session.
Reduced fees are available to eligible families on low incomes.
