This large older style town hall features high ceilings, carpeted floor, small wooden dance floor, stage, drapes, green room and kitchen. The hall is suitable for functions, community meetings, conferences and small weddings.

Stage 2.5m x 5.6m x 95cm high.

Dinner 120 people
Dinner Dance 100 people
Cocktail Party 180 people
Theatre 120 people.

  • 12 round table tops (each seating 8-10 people)
  • 12 trestle tables (each seating 8 people)
  • 120 chairs
  • lift
  • microphone
  • hearing loop (best for people seated at front of hall)
  • air conditioning
  • chair trolley
  • access to phone line on request.

Facilities

Kitchenette with:

  • industrial fridge
  • zip hot water (instant)
  • small oven and stove top
  • 2 x 3 phase power in green room.

Disabled Access

Level access via side entrance, lift access and disabled toilets on two levels.

Hire Fees

Monday to Friday up to 6pm: $41.50/hr
Monday to Friday after 6pm: $62/hr:
Saturday, Sundays and Public Holidays: $77.25/hr

Elections

All day and evening from 7am: $850.
Small Hall (at all the above before 5pm): $35
Small Hall (at all the above after 5pm): $50

Bond

A refundable bond of $310.

Local Community Organisations and Charity Functions

  • 50% discount on standard rates.

Further reductions are only available on request.

Special Considerations

  • noise issues – residential area, curtains need to be kept closed in the evenings
  • additional cleaning can be arranged
  • some functions may require additional security
  • not licensed – alcohol to be served via Gold Licence Caterer.

Transport

  • walking distance from Redfern train station
  • bus 309 and 310 to corner Regent Street and Henderson Road.

This community centre is suitable for meetings, gentle exercise groups, rehearsals and small functions. The room has a northerly aspect and a carpeted floor.
