History Publication Sponsorship Program

The History Publication Sponsorship Program assists with the costs of producing publications that are considered relevant to the ongoing research into and recording of the history of the City of Sydney.

This Program will respond on an ad hoc basis to requests from publishers and historians. Applications will be accepted for funding requests up to $15,000.

All applicants must have spoken with the City Historian before submission of an application to the Program. Applications can then be made in writing to the Chief Executive Officer.

Examples of books supported under the History Publication Sponsorship Program include:

Grace Karskens, The Colony: a history of early Sydney, Allen & Unwin, Sydney 2009.
