Download our Be Connected brochure to find out more about Over 55s Centres in the City of Sydney
Over 55s Centres are found throughout the City in Alexandria, Glebe, Kings Cross, Millers Point, Redfern, Ultimo and Woolloomooloo.
The centres cater for over 55s, anyone with a disability and carers.
The centres offer something for everyone. There is a huge variety of courses and activities – computer training, Tai Chi, arts and crafts, snooker, singing, dancing, walking groups – the list goes on and on!

What else can we help you with?
The Community Workers at our centres offer practical help too. They are trained professionals who can provide information and referrals to other services and activities in your local area.
Community Workers can also help you make telephone calls and if needed, they can take up your cause so that you receive the services you need. For example, you might need to enquire about modifying your home after a fall or arrange to have home care and support services come around to help you out.
Some Community Workers are bilingual too, so if you have difficulties with English you can speak to them in your home language.
For help from a Community Worker, just ask at your local centre or contact us by emailing over55@cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au or telephoning 02 9265 9489.
