Road Safety Program

Pedestrians... don’t cross between parked vehicles – it can cause an accident that injures you.

Drivers and passengers... look around before you open the car door, especially for cyclists - you could both be seriously injured.

Motorcyclists and Cyclists... watch for car doors opening, keep your distance and don’t weave between lanes - keep speed down in traffic.

Speed limits around the City
From 1 November 2003, the legal default urban speed limit in NSW is 50 km/h.

City of Sydney’s new road safety campaigns Watch out people about and Watch out cars about are designed to raise awareness about pedestrian safety and aim to keep all road users safe.
