General Partnerships

The City of Sydney has several key agencies, government and non-government with which it partners to deliver a service to the GLBT community.

For example, the City has recently established a partnership with the Lesbian and Gay Anti-Violence Project to deliver campaigns, advocate with other agencies and support the community to tackle homophobic violence and abuse in the Oxford Street Precinct.

The City of Sydney also works closely with ACON, NSW Police and the NSW Attorney General’s department to deliver key safety initiatives which will improve public amenity in the City.

Community Grants

The City of Sydney has an annual Cultural and Community Grants program which supports local organisations to provide programs and services to our communities. The grants are for a maximum of $5,000.

GLBT Organisations are encouraged to apply for these grants. A number of organisations have been successful in gaining activity and facility funding in the past.  Please contact the GLBT Project Coordinator for further information and support in preparing an application.
