Planning Proposal: Sites 956-960 Bourke Street, 355 Botany Road & 377-497 Botany Road, Zetland - Green Square Town Centre

The City is re-exhibiting a Planning Proposal that applies to these sites within the Green Square Town Centre.

Background

A Planning Proposal was submitted to the City of Sydney by Landcom and the Green Square Consortium, a joint venture between Mirvac Projects and Leighton Properties. This proposal sought to amend the existing controls and requests an increase in development floor space, change in building heights, land use mix and the public domain including street layout. As part of the Gateway Determination, the Department of Planning and Infrastructure required this Planning Proposal be drafted as a Local Environmental Plan (LEP) compliant with the Standard Instrument LEP and consistent with the draft City-wide planning controls, the City Plan .

Council and the Central Sydney Planning Committee (CSPC) endorsed the Planning Proposal for public exhibition on 15 and 11 November 2010 respectively.

The proposal was exhibited from 20 November until 20 December 2010. Following the exhibition period, the City considered all the issues raised in submissions and undertook a thorough urban design review.

Council and the CSPC further considered the revised Planning Proposal on 25 and 21 July 2011 respectively, and endorsed its re-exhibition for 14 days. The re-exhibition will allow the community and other stakeholders to review the changes made to the proposal.

Following the exhibition, the City will consider all submissions before finalising the Planning Proposal.
