Sydney Design Advisory Panel

In April 2007, the City of Sydney appointed a Design Advisory Panel to produce high level independent design advice to the City on key projects affecting the City’s urban design and public domain quality.

The Panel will act as a team of expert consultants to city staff, enabling high level design advice to be given to Council. Where relevant, the Panel’s advice will be considered and presented to Council by staff in their reports to the appropriate Committees.

The Panel will meet approximately every 6 weeks to review projects and relevant Development Applications and to advise staff on them. Presentations will be made by Council staff, and where relevant, representatives from the specific project team (i.e. architect, landscape architect, developer) will make brief presentations on project design.

For more information on advice from panel on specific projects, contact the City’s appointed planner or project manager for the project.
