Floodplain Management

The City is developing floodplain risk management studies and floodplain risk management plans for all its catchment areas, to understand flood risks and help us mitigate and manage those risks.

The process is part of the NSW Government’s Flood Prone Land Policy, which aims to reduce the possible effects of flooding and flood liability on owners and occupiers. It will also help reduce losses resulting from floods.
