Section 94 Development Contributions Plan 2006

Section 94 Development Contributions Plan 2006 was approved by Council on 12 March 2007 and came into force on Saturday 7 April 2007.  This Contributions Plan applies to development approved after that date where Council or the CSPC is the consent authority in the area covered by that plan.

Section 94 Development Contributions Plan 2006 divides its area into three distinct precincts: Western Precinct, Southern Precinct and Eastern Precinct. (Update 7 June 2009)

On 31 May 2009, the Minister for Planning released a Further Direction under Section 94E to the City of Sydney directing a number of amendments to be made to the 2006 Contributions Plan.  These changes had effect from 7 June 2009 and are set out in the Update 7 June 2009 document.

Superseded Contribution Plans

Section 94 Development Contributions Plan 2006 superseded the six Contributions Plans which were inherited from Leichhardt Council and the former South Sydney City Council.  These Contributions Plans remain relevant to consents approved prior to 7 April 2007 that include consent conditions made under those Contributions Plans.  Copies of the superseded Contributions Plans may be viewed by clicking on the link below:

Contribution Rates

The contribution rates under this Contributions Plan are adjusted quarterly by the Consumer Price Index (All-Groups Sydney) as stated in that Contributions Plan.  Therefore the rates which are stated in the Contributions Plan as it was adopted in March 2007 are not the current rates and should not be used for the purposes of providing an estimate of contributions.  Should you require details of current Development Contributions rates as part of a proposed Development Application, please contact:

Contribution Payment Information

Development Contribution rates may be adjusted when payment is due in accordance with the relevant Contributions Plan. Prior to making any payment for Section 94 or Section 61, you must contact:
