Heritage Conservation Area Maps

The maps below delineate selected heritage conservation areas and identify heritage items as well as buildings that are contributory, neutral or detracting.  Maps for other heritage conservation areas not included here are currently being prepared and will be available in the future.

The terms "Contributory", "Neutral" and "Detracting" which are the categories shown on the Heritage Conservation Area maps, are defined as follows:

Building Contribution ratings for sites within Heritage Conservation Areas:

Contributory

Significant historical period layer, highly or substantially intact

Significant historical period layer, altered, yet recognisable and reversible

Neutral

Significant historical period layer, altered in form, unlikely to be reversed

New sympathetic layer or representative of a new layer

Non significant historical period layer

Detracting (in either scale or materials / details)

New detracting development

  Other detracting development

Please refer to Heritage Development Control Plan (DCP) for further explanation of these terms.

The maps also show open space, carparks, vacant sites, and sites with buildings under construction during the time the mapping was undertaken.
