Clean Harbour Partners is about preventing pollution to Sydney Harbour through partnership with businesses in the City of Sydney Local Government Area.
Many people don’t realize that the rain falling on our City’s buildings, footpaths and roads flows into the gutters, through stormwater pipes, and directly into Sydney Harbour.
Stormwater is not treated and all litter and cigarette butts carried by stormwater are dumped directly into Sydney Harbour, reducing water quality and potentially harming our precious marine life. It is essential that we keep our roads and footpaths clear of litter and cigarette butts and ensure that “the drain is just for rain.”
You can contribute a little or a lot and your partnership can be as easy as providing ashtrays on the exterior of your building or displaying educational materials.
