Live Green House

Live Green House

The Live Green House is a transportable, interactive, urban home that provides practical information on sustainable living.

City of Sydney will showcase the Live Green House - complete with a range of experts in sustainable design, energy, water and waste - at Martin Place on 9 & 10 November as part of this year’s Big Aussie Swap Party and National Recycling Week.

Visit the house to learn how you can green your home or apartment.

The house features a range of sustainable fittings and products and demonstrates practical ways to reduce energy and water use and minimise waste.

You’ll be inspired by how easy it is to apply these ideas to your home.

Visitors to the Live Green House will be able to speak with the architect of the House, Martin Urakawa and take away ideas for reducing the environmental footprint of their home including how to create balcony gardens and green spaces.

Find out all you need to know about government rebates for rainwater tanks, solar hot water and electricity, and insulation, and see the latest sustainable products – everything from building materials, to appliances, plates, bed linen and computers .
