Big butt blitz!
Our City is not an ashtray.
Throughout March, the City held a big butt blitz throughout CBD streets to stop cigarette butt littering and encourage smokers to do the right thing - bin their butts!
Cigarette butts on the street run into our stormwater drains and harm marine life. They're not biodegradeable - they're toxic - containing over 4,000 chemicals and taking up to 5 years to break down.
Become a Butt Blitzer
Reduce Cigarette littering by picking up a personal ashtray to bin your butts.
