Help Keep the Streets & Harbour Clean

Cleansing Staff
  • Sweep up rubbish instead of using a hose
  • Provide bins to prevent customers littering
  • Install a wall mounted ashtray on your property for staff & customers. Contact Council on 9265 9333 or council@cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au

Make sure you Recycle as much as possible

Recycling helps the environment and the economy by conserving resources & creating jobs.

  • Make sure you have a recycling contractor. (For a full listing of contractors refer to a business directory.)
  • Separate recyclables (paper & cardboard, glass, plastics & aluminium) from your waste for collection
  • Recycle your excess food for free! Oz Harvest donates excess food to charities.  Call 02 9516 3877 or visit www.ozharvest.org
  • Find out where to recycle tricky items at www.recyclingnearyou.com.au

Use recycled furniture

Second hand furniture can be a quick and cost effective way to fit out the office. Using recycled furniture often allows you to buy higher quality items at a lower price, saving valuable resources at the same time.

So when you're giving the office a facelift, contact one of these companies to donate your old furniture and find new pieces that won’t cost the earth.

 

Reduce Waste & Save Money

  • Only give out straws /cutlery etc on request
  • Use double sided printing.
