Australiana Collection - Tourism Information

Looking for Australian travel information and up-to-date travel guides? Check the 'Australiana Collection' at Customs House Library. The library offers free access to the web to find tourism information online (email access is extra). Books in the 'Australiana Collection' are not available for loan but duplicates of most titles are available as part of the main lending collection. Check the online catalogue for details.

'drug info @ your library'

City of Sydney Library (Customs House) provides illicit drug information (health, law, social impact...) as part of the 'drug info @ your library. See the stand in the library for books on drugs or access the web, free of charge, for online information.

Background: This project, managed by the State Library of NSW, forms part of the Community Drug Information Strategy, which was a recommendation of the NSW Government Plan of Action, developed in response to the 1999 Drug Summit.

Legal Information Access Centre (LIAC)

City of Sydney Library provides legal information as part of the Legal Information Access Centre (LIAC) network.

Would you like to see a sample will or an example of a letter to your landlord? What's the difference between tenancy in common and joint tenancy? This and much more is available in the library’s Legal Tool Kit. The Kit is a regularly updated collection of plain language books about the law. Some useful legal information is also available online.
