The Home Library Service provides a free and convenient way for homebound residents of the city to borrow library books and other items. Library staff will bring a fresh supply of reading material to your doorstep regularly.

How to Register for the Home Library Service
Telephone the library Monday to Friday (9am – 5pm) on Telephone 02 9265 9705 (Home Library Service) or e-mail library@cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au
Provide your name, Sydney address and telephone number.
Provide a doctor's certificate (post to: City of Sydney Library - Home Library Services GPO Box 1591 Sydney NSW 2001 or Fax 02 9265 9380). No age restrictions apply.
After joining the service, a library staff member will contact you and discuss the types of books and resources you would like to borrow. Library staff will then select items for you and these will be delivered to your home regularly. During this visit staff will collect any items you would like to return to the library.
