Each year the Sydney New Year's Eve team recruit the services of professional industry specialists and volunteers to successfully deliver this event.

Crew Call for casual and temporary staff

Expressions of Interest for casual and temporary positions on the 2009 Sydney New Year's Eve celebrations have now closed. The Sydney New Year's Eve team will contact potential candidates in the lead up to the event should a suitable position become available.

Spectator Services Volunteers

A limited number of volunteer positions will be available in the 2009 Sydney New Year's Eve Spectator Services team. Selected volunteers will be on shift duty in one of the information booths answering general enquiries as well as questions about transport and events on 31 December 2009.

Skills needed:

  • Oral communication skills
  • Reliable, patient, polite and have a sense of humour

Training: You will be briefed for duration of 2 hours a week prior to the event.

Time and date: Thursday 31 December 2009 only.

  • Shift 1: 12 noon – 6pm
  • Shift 2: 5:30pm – 11.30pm
