Dawes Point Park, providing spectacular views of Sydney Harbour and the Harbour Bridge, is controlled by the Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority. The park is located on the narrowest point of Sydney Harbour and situated beneath the Harbour Bridge, features grass lawns, palm trees and state significant relics of gun emplacements which housed cannons positioned to defend Sydney from naval attack during the 18th century. Five original cannons are on display within the park.
