The City of Sydney is committed to providing every resident with recycling and collection services to help reduce household waste and cut down the amount that goes to landfill. As a community we currently divert about 30% of our waste from landfill. We need to work together to increase this figure.
Why recycle?
Recycling has many benefits for our community. It:
- conserves natural resources and protects the environment
- increases the life span of materials
- reduces greenhouse gas emissions
- saves landfill space
- reduces disposal costs.
