Responding to homelessness

We have taken a leadership role in providing and coordinating responses to homelessness in public areas.

Our work aims to reduce homelessness in hotspot areas in partnership with:

  • NSW Department of Communities and Justice
  • Homes NSW
  • St Vincent's Hospital Homeless Health
  • The Salvation Army
  • Wayside Chapel
  • Mission Australia
  • Neami National
  • Launchpad Youth Services
  • Innari Housing
  • Aboriginal Corporation Homelessness and Rehabilitation Community Services
  • St Vincent de Paul Society
  • other specialist homelessness services.

This collaborative approach enables sharing of skills, knowledge and resources with better outcomes for vulnerable people and our communities. Since 2017 this approach resulted in over 413 people sleeping rough accessing appropriate accommodation.
