Access printing, copying and scanning services

Before you print or copy you will need to make sure you have credit on your library card.

Create a MyMonitor account through the MyMonitor portal to add credit to your library card or you can use our self-serve payment kiosks to add value to your library card.

If you have insufficient funds you will be prompted to top up your credit. You can top up online through our secure MyMonitor portal or at a payment kiosk.

Note, payment kiosks do not provide change. See our terms and conditions for adding credit to your account.

Register with a casual user MyMonitor account and add credit as a casual ticket user to print or copy in our libraries or community centres. Alternatively, create a casual ticket in person at a payment kiosk.

An email address is required to scan or print. This email address must be unique and not associated with another City of Sydney library or casual ticket account.

When logging into the MyMonitor portal for the first time you will be sent an email to reset/set up a password for your account. 

If you purchased a ticket without entering your email address and want to add an email address to use the MyMonitor portal, you will need to speak to a friendly team member.

You can send a print job from a library or community centre computer. Print jobs may be released directly at any multifunction device.

To pick up your printing at our multifunction devices, scan or enter your library card or casual ticket and enter your PIN.

You can upload a print job from your own device to your MyMonitor account and release it directly at any multifunction device.

For a quick print job you can bring in a USB with your print job saved on it and simply insert and release directly from the payment kiosks and pick it up from the multifunction device.

You can upload your print job to your account through MyMonitor and send it for printing at our libraries or community centres. You can then print it during our normal opening hours within 3 days.

To pick up your printing, scan your prepaid library card and enter your PIN.

You can photocopy documents at our multifunction devices.

Scan or enter your library card or casual ticket and enter your PIN. Then simply copy your pages.

Scanning is free, to access the services, scan or enter your library card or casual ticket and enter your PIN at the multifunction device.

If you have an email address registered with your account the device will automatically send your scans to this address. You can also manually enter or change the email address.
