Improving Chelsea Street Reserve – upgrade works
The changes resulted in this reserve being upgraded for everyone to enjoy.

All works have been completed.
What we’re doing
We’ve upgraded Chelsea Street Reserve in Redfern. This work, which follows the award winning upgrade completed in 2015, improves the reserve for everyone to enjoy.
We added:
- an open area with artificial turf to replace the worn turf
- a brick retaining wall
- an extra table with seating
- new garden beds with shrubs and grasses.
The existing mature trees were protected during the work.
