Upgrade works for Bridge Street rest area
We’re improving this rest area on Swanson Street, next to Erskineville train station, to make it greener and more pleasant for everyone to enjoy.
Project Status: Completed
Works started in July 2022 and were completed in July 2023.
What we’re doing
The upgrade includes:
- relocating seats to a more central position for greater convenience
- new turf, shrubs, and 2 new trees
- a new paved accessible path through the site
- a new low glazed brick wall for extra seats, and
- new bins.
The rest area will be closed during the works. The nearest reserves are Maureen Oliver Reserve and at Swanson and Binning streets.
We'll take steps to minimise any impacts of this work on you. There'll be some machinery noise and dust.
