What we’re doing

We plan to plant more trees and upgrade the streetscape at Avona Avenue in Glebe. Your input will help us develop the concept design.

Works may include building a verge to increase tree canopy and cool the street, new plants and street trees. We’re also looking at making improvements to the embankment on the western side of the street, including removing some existing plants.

Why we’re doing this

New and improved parks, green roofs and walls, streetscape gardening and hundreds of new trees will help cover 40% of the city in greenery by 2050. The Avona Avenue streetscape project is part of our ongoing work to green the city.

Next steps

In early 2022, we will hold a public consultation on the concept design for further community feedback.
