Improving Woolloomooloo Playground
The changes will see new play and exercise equipment.
Project Status: Closed
The design was approved by Council in October 2020. Members of the community then requested the City of Sydney review parts of the design. We invited the community to give feedback on an updated design in mid-2023, following another round of consultation.
What we’re doing
Over the next 10 years, we will upgrade more than 60 parks across the City of Sydney area, from small pocket parks to larger local parks.
Quality green open spaces are a priority for our residents, workers and visitors. These park upgrades will create better quality open spaces for everyone to enjoy, help keep our city cooler, and support biodiversity in our local areas.
The proposal for Woolloomooloo Playground includes:
- new stair free access path into the park from Pring Street
- new rubber soft-fall play area with a play structure with play panels and slides, a swing set with basket and cradle seats, a see-saw and a carousel
- improved integration between playground and barbecue area
- new exercise equipment
- new access path
- new plants and trees
- lighting upgrade as required.
