Closure of Morehead Street at James Street, Redfern was approved by the Local Pedestrian, Cycling and Traffic Calming Committee and Council.

What we’re doing
By actioning this closure we will:
- prevent through traffic
- reduce traffic speed
- allow landscaping in the street between Cooper and James streets.
- enabling traffic islands on Morehead Street to provide an area for vehicles to turn around at the closure.
There is a kerbside parking loss of approximately 2 to 4 car spaces in Morehead Street as part of this proposal.
