Your feedback on proposed street trees on Dibbs Street, Centennial Park
Project Status: Closed
The Local Pedestrian, Cycling and Traffic Calming Committee endorsed these plans at its meeting on 14 March 2024.
What we’re doing
We propose to plant around 6 yellow bloodwood trees in landscaped median strips in Dibbs Street, between Robertson and Martin Road. The landscaped median strips will also help slow traffic and make the street safer.
As well as beautifying the street, these trees will provide shade and reduce the urban heat island effect. Speeding up our urban street tree planting is an important way we can increase the city’s canopy cover and help reduce the impacts of climate change.
