Project Status: Under review
Contributions to this consultation are closed for evaluation and review. The project team will report back on key outcomes.
We plan to replace the public toilet buildings at Jubilee Oval, Glebe. The new toilet building will provide a modern and hygienic facility for everyone to use.
The existing buildings in poor condition will be replaced with a consolidated modern and accessible facility on the western side of Jubilee Oval. We aim to maximise open space and provide an upgraded facility for people visiting the park.
Works include:
- removing 3 buildings surrounding the oval no longer fit for purpose - Jubilee west toilets, the Jubilee east toilets and the umpire’s building
- 4 all-gender individual toilet cubicles
- one all-gender ambulant toilet cubicle
- one all-gender accessible toilet cubicle with baby change table
- communal external hand wash basin
- minor landscaping and remediating demolished sites.
Existing public toilet facilities east of the oval will be open during construction and then demolished.
Next steps
A design for the toilets will be finalised in early 2025. The project’s review of environmental factors will be lodged and open for public comment in 2025. Works are expected to start late 2025 or early 2026.
