Your say on planting more trees on Tweedmouth Avenue, Rosebery
They’ll help provide shade and cooling, and make the street more visually attractive.

What we’re doing
We’re proposing to plant around 13 Southern Hackberry trees in a series of landscaped median strips between Dunning and Southern Cross Drive.
These trees will provide shade and cooling, and help make the street more visually attractive by increasing greening and canopy cover. The median strips will also help slow traffic and make the streets safer.
The proposed landscaped median strips will maintain a 3.2m travel lane in each direction, allowing access for all types of vehicles, including waste collection and emergency services. No parking will be removed (except during construction) and there’ll be enough space to safely parallel park on both sides of the street.
Why we’re doing this
Our strategy for greening Sydney sets clear targets to increase canopy cover across our local area, helping create a cooler and more resilient city. Rosebery Avenue is part of our efforts to expand tree canopy.
