What we’re doing

Following a public expression of interest, we propose to grant a lease to Wildflower, Gardens for Good at the Harry Jensen Centre, 2 Watson Road, Millers Point.

The proposed lease will allow Wildflower to operate a knowledge and cultural sharing hub and community space. Programs will promote community health, sustainability, culture, pathways to employment and community cohesion for young Aboriginal peoples, Elders, families and residents. Education about local native plants will also be provided onsite.

Programs will be developed by Wildflower and local community groups to enable continued community access to the space. 

The proposed lease starts in January 2025 for a period of up to 4.5 years. 

You can view the area leased in the plan of the premises.  Outdoor spaces don’t form part of the proposed lease. This remains public land.
