Proposed licence – The Glebe Society wildlife and habitat monitoring program
We’re proposing to grant a licence to The Glebe Society to monitor wildlife and habitat at 6 locations in our local area.
Project Status: Closed
Why we’re doing this
The Glebe Society Inc. has received a grant from the City of Sydney, in collaboration with the University of Sydney, to determine the current values of the plants and animals surrounding ‘The Hill’, 12A Maxwell Road, Glebe.
The research will involved the setup of wildlife monitoring cameras and equipment to conduct wildlife and habitat surveys of the land.
What we’re doing
We’re proposing to issue a licence agreement to The Glebe Society Inc. for a term of 18 months. The licence will allow access to conduct wildlife and habitat monitoring activities surrounding ‘The Hill’. For research and a comparison of results, the monitoring exercise will also include 5 other local parks.
The 6 sites included within the licence are:
- Chapman Road, Forest Lodge
- Harold Park, 91A Ross Street, Forest Lodge
- Federal Park, 8 Chapman Road, Annandale
- Arthur (Paddy) Gray Reserve, 55A Hereford Street, Glebe
- Orphan School Creek, 2B Pyrmont Bridge Road, Camperdown
- Sydney Park, 38 Barwon Park Road, Alexandria.
