What we’re doing
We invite your feedback on a proposal to create an alcohol-free zone on Jones Bay Road in Pyrmont.
Designated alcohol restrictions in outdoor public areas provide NSW Police with the authority to tip out or confiscate alcohol. There are no fines associated with outdoor alcohol restrictions.
Why we’re doing this
Outdoor alcohol restrictions help the City of Sydney create and maintain well-designed streets and public spaces that are safe and attractive for everyone to enjoy.
We will consider your feedback alongside evidence including crime statistics and advice from NSW Police and other key stakeholders.
How you can give feedback
Consultation closes at 5pm on Friday 20 December 2024.
