This report identifies strategic opportunities for the inclusion of public art for the benefit of the local community.

We engaged artist and architect team Heidi Axelsen and Hugo Moline from MAPA in 2016 to generate community discussion about the character of the Danks Street south precinct in Waterloo.

The opportunity to engage artists in a collaborative team was an important strategy to ensure the public domain design for the Danks Street south precinct included the thinking, vision and needs of the community.

Find out more about how MAPA brought together the voices of the local community.

This report later informed the Danks Street south precinct open spaces concept design summary. The concept design report was completed in May 2022.

The site wide, integrated approach to public art focused on a collaborative design process continues today.
