We sometimes have volunteer positions available at our community centres for tutors, bus assistants and events assistants.
City spaces
We sometimes have volunteer positions available at our community centres for:
- tutors
- bus assistants
- events assistants.
Volunteer tutors must have prior training or teaching experience, particularly with older people.
Our bus assistants help community bus passengers on and off the bus and to communicate with the bus driver.
Events assistants help with running events at our centres. These can include events celebrating Seniors Week, Youth Week, RUOK Day and so on.
You will need to provide the names of 2 referees and agree to a criminal history record check, and working with children check if relevant.
An ability to speak a community language is highly regarded. Languages include:
- Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese)
- Russian
- Spanish.
