Get approval for temporary structures on City and Crown land
Permission is required to use tents, marquees, stalls, enclosures, stages, hoardings and scaffolding.
When you need to do this
In some cases approval may be required to install and use a temporary structure that is proposed to be installed and used on land that’s not classified as a road. Examples include reserves, parks, public squares and malls.
Temporary structures include tents, marquees, stalls, enclosures, stages, hoardings and scaffolding, and any other non-permanent structure.
Unless specific exemptions are available, approval to install temporary structures on City-owned, managed or Crown land must be obtained.
You'll need to complete a different application if you're installing a temporary structure over a road.
