About this opportunity

Community focused organisations are welcome to apply for a subsidised 5-year lease to operate either one or both of the Harry Jensen Community Centre and the Abraham Mott community space. The facilities are suitable for a variety of uses to support community activity and engagement in the spaces.

We welcome applications from eligible parties who:

  • create projects that strengthen social cohesion, community resilience and wellbeing
  • provide opportunities to involve our communities in local decision-making and building connection
  • improve access to varied and affordable services for our communities

Support is available in the form of waived or reduced rental charges for City of Sydney facilities. Rates vary depending on the space being leased and the financial capacity of the applicant.

Note, we’re accepting applications for community benefit. Applications from commercial organisations will not be considered.

During the lease the adjacent Abraham Mott Hall will remain a venue for hire.
