Get your application in before 5pm on Wednesday 7 May

Contribute your professional and lived experience to improve our city’s economic, cultural and social life.

We’re seeking members for 4 advisory panels.

Becoming a member of an advisory panel is a great opportunity to help shape and improve our policies, strategies and plans. By providing your input, you can positively affect the lives of people who visit, live and work in the City of Sydney area.

About the panels

Eligibility

  • You must live, work or study in or near our local area.
  • You must have relevant skills and experience in the relevant sector.

You can apply for membership of more than one panel but you can only serve on one at a time.

All appointments on behalf of organisations and NSW agencies are representative only and not personal. The organisation or agency can revoke an appointment at any time and appoint a new representative by way of written notice to the City of Sydney.

What to expect

  • Members will be appointed for a term up to 4 years. Members may be eligible for reappointment for a further 4-year term.
  • Panels will meet 3 times each year, or as needed. You will be required to review materials before meetings and provide comments after meetings.
  • Where applicable, we’ll provide translators, printed material in alternative formats or languages and/or other accessibility services.
  • You may be asked to attend an informal interview as part of the selection process and, if successful, an induction session before the first panel meeting.
