The City of Sydney proposes to enter into a planning agreement in connection with the development application number D/2020/1386.

Location: 413–415 Sussex Street, Haymarket NSW 2000 & 82–84 Dixon Street, Haymarket NSW 2000
The development application seeks to allocate the upper floors of the heritage building, including contents for a public purpose that recognises the heritage significance and connections with the Chinese migrant community.
The nature of the planning agreement is to secure the following public benefits:
- Prepare and implement a plan of management for the ongoing use of levels 1 and 2 of the former Kwong War Chong & Co building for public purpose including the display, management and maintenance of the heritage assets.
- Developer’s works required to enable levels 1 and 2 to be used for a public purpose in line with the plan of management, including providing public access and access for people with disability.
