We’re revising our environmental strategy which outlines our plans for a sustainable Sydney over the next 5 years.
We have a long history of working to reduce the environmental impact of our operations, buildings, people and transport on our local area and beyond.
The current environmental strategy (2021-2025) focused on reducing emissions and energy use, using alternative water sources, supporting the growth of the circular economy and better performance standards for buildings. The strategy also furthered the work on mitigating the impacts of climate change and protecting biodiversity, green spaces and waterways.
Our green report measures the progress towards our targets.
To revise our strategic directions and priorities, we’ve listened to our employees, environmental experts and communities through consultations. We’d like to continue this conversation to better understand what you think our environmental strategy should cover and the support you need to contribute to a Sydney that is more sustainable and resilient.

Once we’ve received your feedback, we’ll finalise a draft environmental strategy for you to read and provide feedback in 2025.
Consultation closes at 5pm on Monday 25 November 2024.
