Licence for a market in Green Square
A proposal to allow stalls in Zetland.
Project Status: Closed
Our markets policy is expected to be reviewed in late 2021. As a result this proposed market licence is now on hold. We will consult our communities on all market sites in the local area after the policy is reviewed.
What we’re doing
A range of proposals have been received for a market to operate on either Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
The licence would be offered for an initial 12 months with the option to renew for up to 5 years.
The market would offer high-quality seasonal produce direct from growers and food producers. It would support local businesses and create a livelier Green Square precinct. The market will also provide a platform for cultural vitality, supporting local talent.
