Your say on the proposed design for Ward Park, Surry Hills
Open for feedback
We invite your feedback on this proposal.
What we’re doing
We plan to upgrade Ward Park in Surry Hills.
Based on your feedback from our consultation in 2024, we’ve developed a concept design for the space.
Our concept design includes:
- New and improved playground
- Improved park furniture and signage
- Improved lighting throughout the park
- Upgraded pathways for better accessibility
No trees will be removed as part of these works. All existing trees will be retained and protected.
Why we’re doing this
Over the next 10 years, we’ll upgrade more than 60 parks in our area, from small pocket parks to larger local parks.
We’re asking for feedback from local community groups and residents on the concept design. Tell us how you use the space, what works, what doesn’t and share any ideas you have for its future.

How you can give feedback
Consultation closes at 5pm on Monday 12 May 2025.
