Before you start
- Identify which bin your request is for. We will need to know the bin lid colour and the size of the bin. You can check the size of your bins on the bin rim under the lid.
- Requests must be received by 2pm the business day before the next regular bin collection date or else they will be scheduled for the following week.
Please note: If the scheduled bin collection day falls on a public holiday, your delivery or repair will be on the next business day. - Before asking for a bigger red lid rubbish bin, check out our guides to reducing waste and recycling more.
Changing the size of your rubbish bin means changing your service. The domestic waste charge you pay depends on the size of your bin and the frequency of service.
If you're already doing all you can and want a smaller red lid bin or yellow lid bin, that's great. However, it's important to choose the right sized bin because we can't collect and extra rubbish or recycling you put out. Additional bags of rubbish left out on the kerb are considered to be illegally dumped and can attract hefty fines.
